Course Welcome Information

Thank you for booking a course with Wyatt First Aid. Your welfare is important to us. We hope this welcome information will help you arrive confident and relaxed. Please be assured of a friendly welcome as always!

 

Before the course:

 

Attendance at all sessions is required along with completion of all written and practical tasks.

 

Learners must be at least 14 years old and be able to perform practical tasks at floor level. There are no other formal course entry requirements but we strongly recommend that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in English literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

 

We wish to make the course as safe, accessible and enjoyable as possible for you. The course involves a variety of written, reading and physical activity. Therefore, please advise us by email if you have any learning or physical difficulties including English literacy, which we need to be aware of. By being aware of your needs ahead of the course, we can discuss with you confidentially how we may assist you.

 

Please do not attend if you are unwell or have any symptoms suggestive of a COVID-19 infection, cold, flu, or stomach upset, however mild. Visit www.nhs.uk for information about COVID-19 symptoms.

 

You will need for the course:
• Photographic ID on the first day of the course
• Black pen and a note pad
• Your own lunch and drink to consume throughout the day
• Due to the practical nature of the course, learners should wear appropriate clothing and footwear. The training space will be well ventilated, therefore please bring multiple layers of clothing to ensure you are warm enough

 

During the course:
 

• Hand sanitiser will be provided in the training room for your use

• All trainers and learners are required to wear a face mask

• Each learner will have clean or single use equipment for use when training

• Please respect the trainer and other learners’ choice to keep socially distanced

• We will ask you to demonstrate your skills for assessment on your manikin, yourself or using PPE if practising skills with another learner
